A plethora of career opportunities is open in aviation, the mostexcitingof which is beinga pilot To become a commercial pilot in India , one has to first possess a student pilot license. To get the SPL , aspirant should have passed class 10th, aged at least 16 yearsandshould register at a flying club which is recognized by Directorate general of civilaviationDGCA, Government of India. Registration requires a medical certificate , securityclearanceand a bankguarantee An oral examination in subjects such as air regulations, aviation meteorology , air navigation , engine ( technical and specific) follows the registration. Successful completion of the examination entitles you for an SPL certificate. The second step is the private pilot license ( PPL). PPL training includes sixty hours of flying of which about fifteen hours are dual flights that isaccompaniedby the flight instructor and at least 30 hours of solo flying apart from five hours of cross-country flying. This makes one eligible for the PPL exam, which consists of air regulation, aviation meteorology, air navigation, aircraftengines and seamanship. The prescribed age for appearing for the exam is 17 years and an educational qualification of 12 ( PCM)along witha medical fitness certificate issued by the Armed Forces Central Medical Establishment. Acommercialpilot license may be obtained only after a PPL has been acquired
. To obtain a commercial pilot license 250 hours of flying including 60 hours for the PPL is necessary. Besides that one has to undergo
a medicalfitness test which is held at New Delhi and an examination which consists of Air regulation, aviation meteorology, air navigation, technical , planning and communication in the form of radio & wireless transmission. With the CPL, pilot can take up any professional assignment. There are several DGCA approved flying academies where one can doa CPLcourse. After getting the CPL, one has to fly at least 1500 hours on diffrent aircraft and become familiar with instrument ratings to get the airline transport pilot license. Many aspirants try to get the license faster by joining schools abroad.

Hi,

Greeting's for the day!!!

Being a pilot is one of the finest, toughest and best careers across the globe. Many people are uncertain about the procedure to become an airline pilot and about the various career options as a pilot. Pilots are highly trained and skilled professionals. They can fly various aircraft and helicopters. Flying does not require much physical effort but the mental stress of being responsible for a safe flight of an aircraft full of passengers in all kinds of weather can be demanding. Before take-off the pilot must prepare a flight plan, study the weather, make sure that the aircraft is airworthy, check that the cargo and fuel are safely loaded and work out estimated arrival time. Pilots can work as few a 8 days in a month, to as many as 20. While pilots at a major airline might work 14 days in a month, you must keep in mind that they are not coming home from work on those 14 days. Pilot need to be physical and mentally fit and have good eye sight and color vision. Every year, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will conduct pilot license examination in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Patna, Guwahati, Bhopal, IGRUA, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Bangalore, & Kochi. If anyone is interfered to join for Indian Air Force (IAF), they need to clear the NDA examination.
