Would designing be better or Marketing for Media?

I am planning to take Humanities for Journalism. And wanted to know is Fashion Designing good or Marketing? I do have this option in my school of Fashion designing for 11th.

Interesting career choice and interesting career option.

As such Media is a field which requires a lot of communication both verbal and non-verbal.
Also it is the base of Journalism.

As a journalists, the main idea is to sell a view point to the consumer, which has to be short, accurate and convincing.
So here steps in Marketing.

Apart from Communication, Media also requires a blend of creativity, which includes designing too.
The more creative the more it will attract the customer.

So as such Media is a blend between Designing as well as marketing.

So both the options are good for you.

As such when you have to choose between the both, best would be to go through the syllabus or talk to a senior and know what each subject would emphasize on and is it adding to your preferences in future.

As such the option you have mentioned, Fashion designing, does throw light on designing and being creative, but fashion is a different game altogether.
In terms of Journalism, you need to focus on Graphic designing and coral draw. Though a bit of knowledge about designing would be imparted.

And since you are opting for Journalism, designing would be covered as well as marketing too.

But never-the-less, If i had to choose I would opt for Marketing as a subject.

But still my advice would be to meet the seniors or your teachers and then make a confirmed choice.
