The typical day of an Industrial Production Engineer is something like this:

    • Going to the production site to understand the production process and discuss with other engineers about the various issues they have.

    • They collect the data from the production sites. Usually this data is not readily available. They need to get it from the concerned department.

    • They also set up the methodologies on how to collect the data.

    • The data validation is also required on their part to ensure the authenticity of the data.

    • Once the data is collected, they have to analyze it using statistical tools to do their calculations.

    • They are also responsible for the installation of the equipments, and in the manufacturing and production process.

    • They are supposed to work on the quality assurance of the processes as well as the equipments.

    • The report making is an important of their work. They have to make comprehensive reports for the management and manufacturers about the industrial and manufacturing processes.

    • The typical day involves working on the computer as well as at the production sites.
