Hi,

Thanks for visiting us at CareerGuide.com!!!

Event management is of course an exceptional lucrative course and has high scopes in the corporate world today. Not many students recognize the excellent job prospectus that this MBA offers and instead decide to pursue the regular MBA. I shall explain what is an event management, then go on to give a brief idea on its job scopes and finally the colleges that offer this degree in India.

What is an event management?
Managing an event by understanding its technicalities and functions is known as event management. So studying this course you will understand how to create budget for an event, organise an event, know how and from where to buy event build up materials, effective team working and time management. Most importantly you will also develop effective customer service skills from this course.

Completing the course, you can work for any field that conducts events be it companies that organise family functions like wedding, birthday parties or family get together, or the corporate companies that conduct events for their employees.

Colleges offering MBA Event management in India:

Event management is widely recognised and functionable in today's business world and therefore there are many colleges coming forward to offer this degree and in fact the good news for you is the UGC of India has also recognised most of these MBA Event management courses at some of the colleges which is really great. The following colleges are well known for this degree:

1. Amity university School of communications ( www.amity.edu/asco/) (This is a private university that has excellent tie-ups with corporate companies and sends students for summer event management internships and post graduation jobs too)

2. NAEMD - National academy of event management development ( www.naemd.com/)(This is one of those universities offered by the UGC and it is said that this college offers highly recognized and standard syllabus) This is a two year course and classes are only 3-5 days a week. You get off during the week which you can use to do part time event management for local companies too. The good news is this college offers the MBA in both event management and PR which none of the colleges in India actually offer. It is good to study both event management and PR as both these fields go hand in hand and will equip you into an event management professional in your career. So I would definitely recommend this college for you.

3. Indian institute of learning and advanced development (INLEAD) ( www.inlead.in/)
4. Mudra institute of communications ( www.mica.ac.in/)
5. Indian institute of event management New Delhi ( www.iiemdelhi.com/)

These are the five well recognized colleges for this course. My best wishes for your admission. Good luck.
