Hello There,
Its a still long way to go. But planning is essential. Here I would like you to ask yourself, what you mean by saying, " being a good doctor". What goals have you in mind for your future? How do you see yourself in the future? What aspects do you wish to touch base on?
After class 12th, you would need to appear for the All India medical entrance exam as well as state level entrance exam. Once you clear and ar allocated a seat in a medical college, your journey begins from there.
Pay complete attention to the lectures in college and try to do a lot of research on the topic to get extra knowledge. Try being more practical in nature and not just bookish. Meet up with expertise doctors and when they are free ask them questions and if possible assist them in their work. Start in the beginning itself. Do not wait for the end of the 3 year to begin an internship program.
At the same time, prepare which area you wish to specialise in at the masters level. Try research in that area too.
Please note, though you would be busy with a hectic schedule, finding time is essential. Do focus on your health and extra curricular activities too.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck....
