1. You need to be very good at your communication skills so that you can become a public relations executive. As a part of this job you will have to meet new people all the time and therefore it is very much required that you are comfortable while talking to them or making any communication. Besides you will also have to write various press releases, news letters etc to the media agencies and get the media coverage. Therefore both the written and oral communication skills are very much important.

2. The public relations executives have to meet new people all the time. This is a part of their work. Every time they meet someone new they need to build the contact with that person so that they can later leverage their network for the benefits of the organization. Therefore they need to be very good at their relationship building skills so that they can make new contacts, stay in touch with them and seek other people's help whenever they require.

3. The public relations executives have to be very goo at their interpersonal skills. This is due to the fact that they have to coordinate with a number of people and therefore the efficiency can only be brought in their work if they are good at dealing with people and their interpersonal skills.

4. You will have to have wonderful time management skills as a public relations executive. You cannot afford to waste any time in this job as a number of other people are involved too.
