Show your original birth certificate to the authorities and give an undertaking signed by your father that your date of birth was incorrectly mentioned in the documents. 2. Go to a Notary and prepare an affidavit saying that your birth date is _____. You can appear for the Combined Defence Services Exam held twice a year (May and October) if you are a graduate. You will be eligible to join the army as an officer once you clear the exam and the SSB Interview and your name comes up in the merit list. In your application you will have to choose whether you want to serve for 5 years (Short Service Commission) or the Permanent Commission (20 years and more). You can get details from Employment News.
