There are two types of Bank job's are available.
1) Govt. Bank ( SBI, CANARA BANK, PNB)
2) Private Bank ( ICICI, HDFC, AXIS BANK)
So if you want to work in govt. Bank, then you have to give entrance exam which is announced from time to time by these banks as per their staff requirement.
To pass these exams, you can take coaching from various Institutes. You can prepare for these entrance exam of Various types i.e. Clerical Job, Bank P.O etc.
Some of the Govt. Bank Like Bank of Baroda, UCO Bank, Dena Bank has a tie-up with Universities like MANIPAL University, Amity University, who run a bank-specific program.
In these Private banks, you can apply in two ways.
1) Some of the private institutes run 3 Month to 1-year Courses either as the stand-alone institute or in collaboration with these banks.
Like IFBI (NIIT group), Timespro ( Times of India Group), NIBM etc. run small duration courses and then get you interview's in these private banks.
2) Apart from these institutes, AMITY University, MANIPAL University run courses in collaboration with various banks. After completion, You get directly place with these banks in officer capacity.
