Hello Neeraj,

Thank you for writing to CareerGuide!

The option you are considering i.e law branch in the army is a very challenging role.

In the Indian Army, law graduates (3 year course (LLB) after graduation, 5 year integrated  courses after class 12) can join the JAG branch (Judge Advocate General branch) and the essential points briefly are- 55% marks from an institution recognized by Bar council of India, 21-27 yrs age, specified medical standards (height, weight, eyesight).

We have similar roles in the other forces i.e Navy and Air Force also. You may like to consider them too.

I would suggest you to please visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in for the latest and detailed advertisement.  In case you want to apply, you can do so  now as per  the current advt (19 course JAG, beginning in Oct 2017) ,online applications are invited till 22 Feb 2017. Do write to us for any queries.

Wishing you all the best in your endeavours!

Regards,
