Hi,If you really want to be a scientist there are following best possible ways (instead of looking for books).They are(1)You may try to enroll in M.Tech programme from reputed institute/university and start some research work in the field of your interest .Sometimes M.Tech students are also provided good opportunity to work in goverment aided research projects.This will not only enhance your knowledge but it will also open path to be a good researcher/scientist.Also after M.Tech if you want to continue your research work you can enroll in Ph.D programme .And you do not have to worry about your financial status as a handsome stippened is paid during the research work.Then after that in most of the cases researcher is absorbed in that organisation.
