Students who have completed MBBS are eligible to pursue specialization in psychiatry. There are various ways through which one can puruse psychiatry. Like aspirant has an option to go for MD Pschiatry, Diploma in Psychiatry or enroll for Diploma of National Board Exam. Diploma of National Board Exam is conisdered at par with MD Psychiatry. The duration of Diploma in Psychiatry is two years whereas the duration of MD Psychiatry is three years.There is ample of scope in this profession because of the increasing mental tesntion and stress .
