In the Indian Army, law graduates (3 year course (LLB) after graduation, 5 year integrated courses after class 12) can join the JAG branch (Judge Advocate General branch) and the essential points briefly are- 55% marks from an institution recognized by Bar council of India, 21-27 yrs age, specified medical standards (height, weight, eyesight). Dear Aspirant, You can do two things: 1. Show your original birth certificate to the authorities and give an undertaking signed by your father that your date of birth was incorrectly mentioned in the documents. 2. Go to a Notary and prepare an affidavit saying that your birth date is _____. You can appear for the Combined Defence Services Exam held twice a year (May and October) if you are a graduate. You will be eligible to join the army as an officer once you clear the exam and the SSB Interview and your name comes up in the merit list. If you are 10+2, you have an option to qualify NDA exam conducted by UPSC followed by SSB interview. NDA exam will comprise of MCQ type questions.
