First you should cleared national level NET/JRF exam for life sciences . After qualifying this exam, you will be eligible for applying for admission to Ph.D. with scholarship.
All government universities or CSIR institutes prefer admission on the basis of JRF/ NET.
NET exam is conducted twice in a year.
Some universities or institutions also conduct their own entrance exam I.e. you should apply for these individually but collect information about funding or scholarship because these are expensive and time taken process to complete Ph.D it will take around 3-5 years.so you have keep patience for a long time.
