A financial planner has a role much similar to a financial analyst, he/ she is a certified money management professional, who helps the clients to manage their financials efficiently. They work with individuals, High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), businesses, businessmen, families, etc and act as an advisor as well as planner. They help their clients to take budgetary, saving and investment decisions. Financial planners are mostly self-employed, or they have their small teams with them. However, with changing demand for the service, many companies, banks, and financial institutes have started providing this service. They have a good knowledge of legal standards with financial investments and help their clients in meeting their long-term financial goals.
They additionally support their clients in making sound investments, security planning, estate planning, tax planning, employee benefits and insurance planning.
Internship is provided in terms of a mentee under an experienced Financial Planner.
• 0-3 years- Associate Financial Planner
• 3-15 Years- Financial Planner
• 15-25 Years- Senior Financial Planner/ Higher responsibility roles
It is mandatory for financial planners to give an exam of CFP.
