As a Business Analyst it is highly recommended to do an MBA. It is one of the professions where MBA adds a great value and is helpful in rising up the corporate ladder. This is how the MBA degree is going to help you in your career if you are a Business Analyst.

1. MBA is a good way to climb few steps quickly in your corporate ladder. The degree will let you to take up a position that is one or two levels senior to your current role. This way you don't have to work for years to get there. MBA degree will do that for you. But remember a lot of hard work is required in B Schools.

2. MBA will add value to your salary. There will be a huge increase in your salary. The companies pay their employees not only on the basis of their experience but also educational qualifications. If you are an MBA from a top B School, definitely they are going to offer you something great.

3. It will help you in shifting your current industry. It happens sometimes that you get bored of working in a particular industry. As a Business Analyst you will be working in certain sectors or industries. But if you want to change them there won't be much flexibility as companies have to fulfill the needs of clients. It becomes difficult to shift employees' industry. With MBA you can do that.

4. It will help you change your job in case you want to. A number of times we get trapped in a job that doesn't appeal us much. And we are not in a situation to quit that job as we don't have much options. With MBA, there will come variety of options in terms of career opportunities.

5. MBA is not only important in getting you a good job but it adds a long term value to your personality and skills. One of the most important attributes of an MBA degree is to learn - how to work with people. This is quite important as you gain experience and move to the managerial positions. The learning that happens in MBA degree will be of great help.

Candidate with MBA as Qualification and 2-3 Work Experience, can serve as a Mid-Level Management Positions and earn around Rs. 5,00,000 to Rs. 7,00,000 per annum.
