It is extremely important to have the nice communication skills if you want to succeed as an Electronics and Telecom Engineer. This becomes specially relevant is case of the big companies where the criteria are rather rigid and you cannot afford to ignore them. The main reasons that most companies prefer people with good communication skills are listed below.


1. As an Electronics and Telecom Engineer you will be required to interact with your clients on regular basis. The clients interaction determines how well you have been able to understand their requirements and how well you were able to convince them while providing the solutions. The communications have to be clear.

2. As an Electronics and Communications Engineer you are supposed to send out the written communications regularly via email etc. Therefore you cannot afford to make mistakes in your written way of communication as the mails would be sent to the senior management and your clients. You will have to be really good at written skills which is a part of overall communication skills.

3. Almost every day you will be interacting with your team members other employees and your senior management. If you want to make an impression then you will have to be extremely good with your communication skills.

4. In the large organizations you are supposed to maintain the professionalism. The rigid criteria enforce the employees to have minimum levels of communication skills.

5. Many companies check employees communication skills on regular basis. They have specifically designed tests for that purpose. Therefore the employees are assigned certain level and have to maintain the competency level. That way it directly adds to the value.

6. Good communication skills have a great impact on one's overall personality and therefore are very much required for today's professionals. They cannot afford to shy away from these skills. One has to have these skills of highest levels.

Therefore the communications skills are really important for you as an Electronics and Telecom Engineer and you sould work on them.
