Air hostesses and flight attendants are service providers who are responsible for ensuring a safe passage for travelers as well as tending to their needs such as fulfilling their culinary requests or providing them medical care. Selection procedure

Training

In order to carve out a career as an air hostess, one should clear their 10+2 exams or its equivalent.Lately, air carriers have been choosing to hire applicants who hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in airline and airport management and other similar courses. They are instructed in CPR and other emergency maneuvers apart from the operations of air carriers. Holders of degrees in psychology, mass communications are preferred since they have a background in dealing with people.
Although post-graduation courses such as MBA are available for air hostesses, a high school diploma remains the minimum condition as it is an entry level position. They should be fluent in the English language. Airlines which have a global presence require their staff to be well versed in a few languages as well. Apart from the various certifications, experience and training in the field are also required.
