Dear student...

The key areas on which every security analyst works most of the time are having wide scope and range.

To describe precisely some of them I listed below for your kind reference:

  • Designing a plan and strategies for security needs of company
  • Laying down and proper implementation of the designed plans and strategies.
  • Keeping back up of all the useful data of the company through servers and in times supporting all if needed by providing that data
  • Risk management: to minimize the risk of losses through proper plans and use of good advanced tolls and techniques.
  • Securing the data, network and computer systems from unauthorized access by giving access only to authenticated users.
  • Encryption and decryption of data and networks, if needed is the work of a security analyst person.
  • Keeping eye on everything, regular monitoring of process and making sure no hacking loop holes are there any where.
  • Keeping fire walls in all systems, better use of internet, network and systems.
  • Training staff on new advance versions of software and programs time to time. Keeping them selves updated about all advance technologies and tools
  • To keep everything safe from virus attacks, with the help of anti virus software, scanning on regular basis.
  • To assure compliance with all the standards and maintaining the same timely.
  • Any network disaster, network break down, server down, they are the only person on action that time.
  • Check of misuse of any thing related to network, internet, data, computer system whatever which is violating the rules of the company.

All queries which arise which is related to systems, networks , its their responsibility to safe guard everything and smooth functioning of work.Suppose due some reason a system stopped working it is their duty to make the data available to the concerned at the earliest. More or less the work revolves around systems, network, software, and hardware etc.
You need to have good hand on systems, laptops, excellent hold on your subject is must requirement for a security analyst job.

Hope above all clarifies your query well, do come back in case you have any further doubts about the same topic.

All the best for your future

Thank you
