Following are the facts about the working hours of Architects:



1. According to a Harvard research an architect works about 8 hours a day 40 hours a week. That's the global scenario.



2. Architects spend most of their times at offices. Normally in India they work for 45 hours a week.



3. In most offices they work for five days a week.



4. Sometimes due to project requirements they may be required to work late in the evenings and even on the weekends.



5. It's very rare that they have to work for night shifts. Most times they work in the day hours.



6. Since visits to the client site are a part of the job, they may have to work additional hours depending on the visit.



7. The flexibility on the working hours totally depends on the project scenario. In most cases, the working hours are quite rigid.



8. As a free lancer, one can enjoy all the freedom in terms of time and working hours.
