Robert C Baker (1921-2006) was an inventor and Cornell University Professor who invented the chicken nuggets ans well as many other poultry related inventions. Due to his contributions to the poultry sciences, he has been the member of the American Poultry Hall of Fame.

Charles J bates: (1930-2006) was ans American food scientist who was involved in the development of baking formulas fro angel food and devils food cake, then later developed high fructose corn syrup sweetener for Coca Cola. Away from his research, Bates was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America in Indiana, earning numerous awards.

Clarence Frank Birdseys II (1886-1956); was and American inventor, entrepreneur, and naturalist and is considered to be founder of modern frozen food industry.

Fred C Blanck (1881-1956); was an American food scientist who was involved in the founding of the Institute of Food technologists (IFT) which was involved in the publishing of food and nutrition articles and books.

Benjamin Borenstein, died in 2006, was an American food scientist who was involved in vitamin fortification. Employed with Hoffman-La Roche until his 1987 reirement, Benjamin played a key role in fortification of vitamins. he also served as an adjunct Professor, and late honorary professor, at Rutgers University in New Burbswick, new Jersey. An active member of the institute of Food Technologists (IFT), Benjamin was named a fellow in 1979. He won the Babcock-Hart Award in 1996.

Ernest Joseph Briskey (1930-2006); was an American Food Scientist who was involved in biological studies on meat tissue during the slaughtering process. he also developed the use of meat science as a career, including the charter of the American Meat science Association, both at the university of wisconsin-Madison and at Oregon Sate University.

George Washington Carver (1864-1943) ; was and American scientist, botanist, educator and inventor. Carver's reputation is based on his research into and promotion of alternative crops to cotton, such as peanuts, soybeans and sweet potatoes, which also aided nutrition for farm families. he wanted poor farmers to grow alternative crops both as a source of their own food and as a source of other products to improve their quality of life.

William Vere Cruess (1886-1968); was an American Food Scientist who pioneered the use of fruits to produce fruit juice beverages, fruit based concentrates and syrups. He was one of the first investigators in USA to use freezing storage for preservation of fruits and their products.

There are many renowned figures in food technology worth noting, but George Washington Carver (1864-1943) stands out for me. He was an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. Carver's name is built on cotton alternative crop research and promotion, such as peanuts, soybeans, and sweet potatoes, which also give nutritional support to rural households. He urged poor farmers to cultivate alternative crops as a source of food as well as other things to better their quality of life
