Educational Qualifications and Required Experience
- A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Distance Education, Instructional Design or any other related field and a minimum of one to two years in Higher education.
- Required skill in the area of Microsoft Applications and Integrated software systems with the knowledge of adult learning theory.
- Work Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, web development (that includes HTML coding. Java Scripting, forms development) and post-secondary teaching.
- Some employers want their distance learning coordinators to have a teaching license with a doctoral degree or a graduate certificate.
