Indian Agricultural Research Institute – (IARI)

Indian Agricultural Research Institute is one of the prime B.Sc. Agricultural Institute in India. The institute was established in 1905. It was originally situated in Pusa, which’s why it is commonly known as Pusa Institute. Later it was reestablished in Delhi in 1936. And now, it was funded and administrated by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It was awarded many awards. The institute offers degree courses in 26 Disciplines.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University –(TNAU)

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University was first established in Saidapet in Tamil Nadu and later moved to Coimbatore. It was established in 1906. The institute offers 13 undergraduate programs, 40 graduate programs, and 27 doctoral programs. Interested candidates need to clear the entrance exam to get admission.

Chandigarh University –(CU)

CU is an Indian private institute situated in Mohali, Punjab, near Chandigarh. CU was founded in the year 2012 by the Punjab legislature. It was accredited status A+ by NAAC in 2019. It was rated ‘DIAMOND’ in the gauge framework. CU offers more than 40 courses in UG, PG, and doctorate degrees in various disciplines.

Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University –(ANGRAU)

ANGRAU is a public university by the governor of Andhra Pradesh. It is originally Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, founded in the year 1964 through the APAU act of 1963. It was formally inaugurated by the Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965 in Hyderabad. In the year 1966, it was inaugurated by Indira Gandhi. Later, it was renamed Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University in 1996. There are 11 colleges under it. It offers BSc, B.tech, MSc, MTech, MBA, Ph.D., and Diploma programs in various specializations.

Parul University

Parul university was established by the Parul Group of Institutes in the year 2009. However, it was given university status in 2015. PU is one of the leading private universities. It was recognized by the University grants commission under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is authorized to award degrees in various streams under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. There are 32 institutes under it with over 250 courses and, it is one of the largest Institutes in the state.

Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering -(CIAE)

Central Institute of agricultural engineering was established in the year 1976 in the lake city of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It was affiliated with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute and is accredited Indian council of Agricultural Research by New Delhi for its MTech course in Energy in Agriculture.

Punjab Agricultural University –(PAU)

Punjab Agricultural University is established in 1962 in Ludhiana. It is the largest university in Asia and the third oldest agricultural institute in India. It was formally inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on July 8, 1963. PAU offers five UG, 51 PG, and 42 doctorate programs in 50 departments of five constituent colleges.
