Undergraduate and graduate degrees in technology and computer applications are offered at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET). The Institute is the nodal center for the Smart India Hackathon and earned the second spot in the 2018 Swachhta National Ranking. According to the 2019 NIRF Ranking, SKCET is one of the Top 150 Engineering Institutions.

Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology Admission

The students fulfilling the eligibility criteria must appear in the state level entrance exam namely TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). Candidates must register their contact information and other basic information. The prospectus and application form are available to engineering courses students directly from the college site. Applications that have been properly filled out must be sent by registered mail or delivered in person to the college office.

The steps that students must take in order to be admitted to the Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology are listed below:

Step 1 is to register.

Candidates must register on the college’s official website using their basic information, including name, father’s name, address, mobile number, and email. A proper mobile number must be provided because it will be used for all TNEA counselling communications.

Step 2: Paying the fees for counselling

After successfully registering, the student must pay the application cost for their particular category. While SC and ST applicants must pay only INR 250 in fees, other candidates must pay INR 400.

Step 3: Form Submission Candidates must double-check the information they provided on the application form because changes won’t be accepted afterwards. The candidate may submit the totally filled-out application form after validating all the information.

Step 4: Registration number assignment

A random 10-digit number will be given to candidates after their registration is complete. The TNEA random number is used to assist break ties between candidates even after all other rules have been used.

All applicants who completed the application process successfully and received a random number are needed to appear at TNEA facilitation facilities for document verification.

Step 6: Making the merit list

A merit list will be created by the TNEA conducting authority using the students’ scores in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. A candidate’s PCM score will be determined out of 100 points, with 50 points each for Physics and Chemistry and 100 points for Mathematics. Equal weight is given to the subjects of physics and chemistry.

Candidates who have been shortlisted will be contacted for TNEA counselling at the designated centers. In order to apply for college, candidates must additionally pay an initial cost of INR 5000 (or INR 1000 in the case of SC/ST). Students should enter as many choices as possible to increase their chances of being offered a seat in the college. Choices must be filled out in the order of preferences.

Step 8: Result of Seat Allocation

The DOTE’s established merit list, choices made, and candidate category will be the only factors taken into consideration when allocating seats. To view the results of the seat allocation, candidates must log into their TNEA accounts.
