Financial Aid Policy at IIM Bangalore
In order to promote management study among all candidate strata, IIM Bangalore provides financial aid and scholarships to aspirants in need. With this in mind, the IIMB has established a Financial Aid Policy for applicants wishing to enroll in the institution’s MBA programs.
Scholarships that are based on need are available to students whose families make less than INR 8 LPA. The Financial Aid Committee evaluates the recipients of awards and the overall amount of fee waivers to be awarded in two steps. The first step is to assign an applicant a score based on the family’s annual income and the number of dependents. The nominee is then invited to a panel discussion based on their score. The candidate is assessed in the second stage using their score and results from the PI round. Applicants receive a 20% to 100% tuition fee waiver depending on how much weight is given to each of their two scores.
