(Rs.18,333/-Per student per year ) In addition, for miscellaneous mess expenditure including fuel for cooking, cleaning/washing, and wages for casual workers engaged for cooking, an additional amount of Rs. 388/- per child per month (for 9 months) is also approved.
Extreme hard and difficult station JNVs (New Category)  11 JNVs – Kargil, Leh, LahaulSpiti, Car Nicobar, North & Middle Andman, Mincoy (Lakshdweep), Tawang, Anjaw, Dibang Valley, Jaislmer& Kutch For JNVs located at Extreme hard and difficult areas (New Category) Rs.19,242/-Per student per year @ (Rs.2138/- per student per month for 9 months) In addition, for miscellaneous mess expenditure including fuel for cooking, cleaning/washing and wages for casual workers engaged for cooking, an additional amount of Rs. 407/- per child per month (for 9 months) is also approved

Uniforms (i) Rs. 2640/- per student per annum for JNVs located in temperate climate/costal areas- Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Odisha, Karnataka, West Bengal, Gujarat, Daman & Diu, Maharashtra, Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep.   (ii) Rs. 3300/- per student per annum for JNVs located in extreme summer and normal winter areas – Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Chandigarh.   (iii) Rs. 3696/- per student per annum for JNVs located in extreme winter areas – Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttrakhand, North Eastern Region, and Himachal Pradesh.
Text books No change, however class wise expenditure of text books will be on actual basis as per text books rates approved by NCERT. The average expenditure of Text Book is taken Rs 800/- per student per year.
3. Daily Use Toilet Items Rs. 1320/- per student per year ( for 09 months)

Other expenditure on students including stationery, travel, medical, CBSE fees (i) Medical Expenses @ Rs. 40/- per child per month for 09 months = Rs. 360/-     (ii) Stationery – Rs. 112/- per student per month for 09 months = 1,008   (iii)  Bedding – Rs. 792/- per student per year   (iv) Doctor Fee: a)   Honorarium to be paid/Month Rs 20000/ if the distance of JNV is more than 10 Km from the Taluka Hq and more than 25 Km from Dist. Hq (9×20000=1,80,000/-) and in JNVs located in hard and difficult stations b)In other JNVs it is Rs 6,600pm (9×6,600=59,400/) (v) CBSE fees – Actuals (vi) School Bag for class VI, IX & XI  students only – Rs. 360/- per student per year. (vii) Travel Expenses –@ Rs. 26/- per child per month for 09 months = Rs. 234/- for the local journey. actual III AC class in rail/ AC bus fare for the outstation official journey.
5. Daily allowance to student during journey only for participating in various events/activities outside the JNV. Rs. 330 /- per day per student.
