Civil Service as a career option has been the preference of many students these days because of the tremendous career opportunities. Civil Service examinations are also called as the UPSC exams. Civil Service examinations are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year and hence they are also called as the UPSC exams. Career in Civil Services is one of the respected and prestigious careers. The candidate who wish to serve the society for them Civil Service is a great career option.
Under Civil Service there are several positions that are offered like IAS, IPS, IFS, IES etc. As per the candidates interest student needs to apply for the post in the examination.
IAS means Indian Administrative Services. This is one of the highly opted career option by the students. All the posts which are offered under UPSC comes under the Central Government and hence these posts are considered as the Class I officer post and of great importance.
In order to become an IAS officer a candidate needs to have completed his/ her Graduation degree from any stream and after completing the Graduation degree student can apply for the UPSC exam.
The UPSC exam is conducted in the three levels-
A candidate needs to clear the Prelim Exam; on clearing the prelim exam student is eligible for the Main Exam and after that for Interview. Prelim Exam marks is not considered for the final merit.
As you are doing CS and B.com you can apply for the IAS exam on completing the B.Com.
