Biology is a fundamental field of science which is closely related to human life. It is a field which has witnessed a lot of development over the years. Making a career in biology can be extremely rewarding and exciting for an aspirant with a right aptitude and interest in biological sciences. Biologists learn how living things work, how they interact with one another and how they evolve. They may study cells under a microscope, insects in a rain forest , viruses that affect human beings or plants in a green house.

Their work increases our understanding about the natural world in which we live and help us address issues of well being and worldwide concern such as environmental depletion, threat to human health and maintaining viable abundant food supplies. To identify whether you have right interest and aptitude to be a biologist you are advised to get your psychometric assessment done.

The psychometric assessment involves assessing the aptitude, interest and personality of a student using standardized psychological tests. The assessment can be given online. It takes 90 minutes to complete the assessment. The assessment is thoroughly analyzed by a psychologist to make a unique career plan of student.

The career plan mainly highlights the main interests, high and low aptitude areas, personality attributes, recommendation of subjects for class 11 & suitable career options after 10+2. A thorough career counseling session is carried out by a career counselor to make student understand his or her unique career profile and assisting him or her in making an informed career decision. All academic concerns of student are also taken care of during counseling as it is observed that sometimes even after having the required aptitude and interest , student find themselves difficult to pursue career suitable to them. Students are given various tips to improve their concentration, memorization , note taking and time management skills.

Dear Friend

There are two ways to convince the world one is natural talent which is known as intelligent or brilliant in structural or constructive language respectively and other one is hard labor driven potential. These two are very much complementary to each other so be clear about these quotes before joining any academic and scientific world.

Similarly biologists are not the exceptional and like wise no other streams need tentio this type of special attention so that people start to think specifically that I have to be biologist and my attitude and aptitude must be according to biological set.

Certain common things are hugely discussed at different forums that an individual must be interested about any particular stream and accordingly one has to gain the academic credential which will make you eligible to join that. Similarly to be biologist you have to earn degree in biological sciences and then naturally you will be inducted into the biological world where you will develop the aptitude to understand the course material and after that you will realize the facts that you have all essential pace to do biological sciences. Though I will suggest you certain facts about biology so that you will be informed:

  1. Natural skill: to develop the natural skill you have to explore the surroundings in artistic or in creative manner, moreover try to understand that biological sciences or biological engineering deals with nature where nature expresses itself based on the hidden potentials which attract researchers to discover or find with the natural terms and conditions.

  2. Studentship: Biological researchers are the best students like other professionalists in the world, but this profession needs special attention as you know this subject deals with senstitive molecule of life DNA / RNA / Protiens etc in a defined cellular system. So you draw the picture of a life before designing any experiment.

  3. Laboratory conditions: Be prepared about laboratory conditions which require patience, comfort ability in isolation, sense of discipline to work as per experimental requirement be ready for 24x7 job. Need to maintain the ethics of sciences, truthful act never do copy and paste or unwillingness to claim others credit which can bring you to the serious problem.

Hope the above listed facts will make you convinced and accordingly you will try your best to join biological community.

Good luck

Manoj
