The sphere of work for any physicist is quite large. They are the scientists who study vast range of fields in physics from basic laws to the new technology and processes. On a typical day, a physicist works on the following things:

Supervise the already going research and assist the fellow researchers in their work. They have to spend a lot of time in the laboratories while working on the experiments.

Checking the emails and replying to them. The physicists are in constant communication with many organizations and have to show their work to them on the regular basis.

They read the latest news in the scientific world particularly physics and see what kind of research is going on, around the world.

Most of their time is being spend in the labs in their experiments and doing the research.

They attend meetings with fellow physicists regularly. A lot of discussions take place in their meetings.

Theoretical physicists also take guest lectures in colleges/universities and guide the students in their research.
