Dear Nilanshu,

Congrats for thinking bold - Entrepreneurship is a very bold step, its about risking and living not only your own dreams but dreams of many others whom you end up employing. To be a good business person, yes you don't need an MBA , likes of Sunil Mittal never got a degree in MBA but still they have created huge businesses. It's passion, determination, right strategies and right contact which can help in making business big.

An MBA from top notch B School definitely helps to get good contact and also some good theoretical knowledge, but it is never a licence to make one a successful entrepreneur.

These days degree in entrepreneurship has also become a craze. However, do read these would give you good understanding of what I am trying to drive :

What my recommendation to you is be active you college's e-cell, get hold of startup experience, an internship is a great idea. Join startup clubs and association in your city. Go meet and talk to people who have started up. They would tell you real challenges and real problems.

These real life problems when topped with an MBA would definitely make you smarter for starting your own. Stand Alobe degree won't be of great use !!

All the Best for your dreams and do write back !
