If I do post graduation in Astronomy, what kind of jobs can I get both in India and abroad?

If you wish to do a PG in Astronomy, then I am sure you are either a Graduate in Physics or metaphysics or Astronomy engineering or geophysics.

As an Agronomists, you mainly would be involved in Research of the solar system,planetary movements,movements of meteors and a research of life on other planets etc.

As such it is a complete research work, not just gazing at stars and the galaxy. Certain amount of permutations and computations needs to be done. So an interests in Math is a must. Also as such knowledge related to computers is also a necessity.
Apart from this please note that it is not a 9 to 5 job. You may also need a lot to travel and meet new people and brain storm on the Research project.
A knowledge on Space craft is another necessity.
As such this all would be covered in your course, so not to worry.

As such in India, astronomy has no such scope except few research that is carried on at DRDO.
Apart from this you can continue research at non profit organizations like:
Association of Bangalore Amateur Astronomers, which is mainly into making of telescopes, arranging observation sessions and so on.

Mainly in India, astronomers are partly into their Research and get into teaching in colleges or join a planetarium or the MET department.

As such USA,or the ISRO, or NASA is the actual place where your scope lies.
As such for NASA, you would have to be a USA citizen. But do not worry. Since they are always in search of Researchers, you could be a part of their team, by submitting your Research papers and be a part of their Research meeting.
