Biomechanics basically decides anout the specifications for the various devices such as artificial joint replacements, pacemakers etc. Bionistrumentation engineers are involved in making new and better instruments that can look through the body such as x-rays, mri etc. orthopaeduc bioengineers analyze the fricxtion, lubrication and wear and tear of natural joints to develop artificial limbs just as good as real thing. Bone, implant technologists gets involved in performing research to find new technologies that will make the bone, joint and tooth implants almost as good as nature's own versions.

THey can find emplyment with compnaies manufacturing equipments used in hospitals and diagnostic centres, institutions involved in research & Government agencies involved in product testing and safety as well as establishing safety standards for devices
