1M+ Test Taken
Hi Girija,
It's so nice and wonderful that you are asking this in your Ninth class. Appreciate your foresight. Coming to the question;
MBA is definitely one of the best qualifications to possess. It will also be useful to earn well and be successful.
Couple of things;
1. How do you know that you are interested in Management? I mean; on what pointers you can say that. I would advice you to take the Psychometric test on www.careerguide.com and check whether you have aptitude and inclination for the same.
2. Once that is clear that Management is your career goal, then go ahead. But, the main parameter is "Where you do your management education from?" Which institution? IIMs are the best. You should do it from one of the Top 25 institutes of India. An engineering degree at the undergraduate level will be preferred than say a BBA or a BBM.
So, take the test; talk to a counselor and get clarity on your goal of doing management education.
All the best;
Vinay Wardhan
Yes, Girija. This is the right time to start thinking about what do you wish to BE in life, not just DO.
The first career choice that you will make is choosing the stream in Std. 11th, then graduation, before you land in a MBA course. MBA is the finishing touch to a student, before s/he enters the corporate world. What you do before that creates the foundation.
MBA courses provide specializations in Systems Management, Marketing, Finance, HR, Banking, Insurance, Luxury goods management. Take your pick and plan accordingly. MBA combines well with a CA, CFA, ICWA, Engineering, Technological courses, Psychology and Law. Tech will be needed in the days of Artificial Intelligence and business on mobile apps.
Choose based on your strengths, aptitude and vision for the future. Check if support is available in the family or close circle, in entering a foreign university, line of business or profession. Take financial and geographical factors into consideration.
In order to post replies to the question: "Mam, I m Girija somani from 9 standard ...I wanna know is MBA specialization well enough to earn high as I have interest in management ...so may I know what are the other degrees I can choose along with MBA ?? And which field is best for specialization "
