Thanks for contacting career guide, First of all you have to appear in GATE exam to be conducted by IIT every year in february. On the basis of score/ percentile you can apply in different IITs/NITs/other colleges.
Most of the reputed universities or institutions prefer to shortlist the candidates for admission to M.Tech. on the basis of GATE score.
Some institutions also take their own admission test but prefer GATE.
More the percentile in GATE then their will be more chances of admission.
