There are many myths about the work and lifestyle of Interior Designers. Here are a few:

1. Without a Course in Web Designing, You Cannot Become a Web Designer:
There are so many web designers who are self taught. The web designing is a combination of technical expertise and creative mind. In a world of internet and online learning, we don't necessarily need to have certifications. In web desigining you will find a number of people who are doing great work but don't have attended those courses.

2. Student Designers Don't Get Paid:
This is again a myth which many people have. Many students who are doing it as a part time role or a hobby, often get this misconception as they are not able to calculate the prices they should charge. Students have to be careful about this. They do get paid, if they make it clear before they take up the project.

3. Designing is Easy:
Most people think that designing is very easy. The misconception is that they think - they just have to design. That's all. But there is a catch. Desigining is a rigorous process. Even when you like a design, it has to be changed again and again, multiple times as per your clients suggestions. It can be frustrating some times. But as a designer you got to have those patience.

4. Learning Stops After College:
This myth will not let you grow once you join the work force. You will have to keep learning new things if you want to become successful. In the world of technology, everyday you will find new things. You will be left behind if you don't remain updated on the cutting edge solutions. Learning is a process which only starts and does not have the end.
