There are a number of things that the aeronautical engineers should learn apart from their academic curriculum, which would be helpful for them. Below is the list of the important things that they should learn and work on:

1. They should work on their basic problem solving skills. This is important that they will be solving a number of problems throughout the day. The basic aptitude for solving a problem and the right approach is absolutely necessary. They should solve puzzles and riddles as much as possible.

2. The critical thinking of an aeronautical engineer has to be wonderful. They have to analyze the data and take the decisions accordingly. Therefore they need to work on their critical thinking part. This can be done by practicing on the questions and puzzles which test one's critical thinking aptitude. It takes time but is very helpful in the long terms.

3. The aeronautical engineers need to work on the software and other technologies and tools. They should not only restrict themselves to the course books but also work on the practicals and the tools during their education. Focusing on the projects would be of great help for that matter. Therefore practical learning is a nice way to enhance your skills.

4. They should be very good team players. The aeronautical engineering involves good coordination among the staff members so that the things can go on smoothly and also if there is a problem the team can solve it by assisting one another. Thus an aeronautical engineer should work on their tea building skills and also on the interpersonal skills so that they can collectively work in this profession and make a valuable contribution.

5. The communication skills of an aeronautical engineer are very important as they have to make a number of communications. Not just the speaking part is important but active listening is also equally important. The role of written communication skills is again something that cannot be neglected. Also they should be able to read and interpret the instructions correctly all the time.
