It is an autonomous institute, which is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU), Belgaum, and was set up in the year 1962. Manipal Institute of Technology is one of the best private technical institutes of Karnataka, located in Manipal. 6) International Institute of Information Technology, IIIT Bengaluru

International Institute of Information Technology, is a Deemed to be University in Bengaluru, which is approved by UGC and is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. The institute is also ranked 62 by NIRF ranking 2020 under the category of Engineering. The college was established in the year 1999 and since then, it is known for serving quality education. The college provides BTech degree programs in two major disciplines, i.e., Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The admissions into the BTech programs are based on JEE Mains only.

7) PES University, PESU Bengaluru

PES University was set up in the year 1972, in Bengaluru. The University was earlier known as PES Institute of Technology (PESIT), which was renamed in the year 2013 when it received University status by the Government of Karnataka. PES University gives admission into its BTech programs on the basis of PESSAT, a university-based entrance test for engineering. PESU Bengaluru provides 7 different branches of engineering under BTech. There are a number of scholarships available in PESU, based on both financial background and merit scored.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru is an autonomous institute set up in the year 1979. It is presently affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and is also approved by AICTE.
