He was skilled at developing novel teaching-learning procedures, such as tutorials for Higher Secondary level students, with a focus on improving reading and writing skills.

Apart from having a regular calendar of seminars by the Seminar Forum and organizing State and National level seminars on various topics/subjects, the College has successfully conducted annual/biennial sessions of NEIHA, NEIGS, and AACEA in the past. Dr. Subhash Saha, a History department faculty member, carved a name for himself as a multidimensional scholar-poet-social activist and was pursuing Post Doctoral research until his untimely death in 1994.
