Hi There,

What do you wish to know about an MBA program???

Please note MBA is a Post graduate Management program, opted by Graduates who wish to join the industry in the Managerial role.

But freshers do not join in as managers, but as Trainees and after few years of experience are eligible for the managerial role.

To pursue an MBA ( Full time, a 2 years program), one needs to be a Graduate with minimum 50% marks.

After that they would have to clear either or both All india level entrance exam ( CAT) or State level entrance exam ( CET) or private institute exams ( NMAT, XAT, SAT).

Once you clear the entrance exam, you are eligible for the Group discussion and Personal Interview round.

Preparations for each are important.

Also there are options for a Part time MBA program which is a 3 years program, whereby a minimum of 2 years work experience is a must.

MBA Specialization includes:

  • HR
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Business Development
  • Entrepreneurship Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Retail Management
  • Banking
  • Hospitality Management

Please note there are also Executive Management courses conducted by IIM's, but only employees with minimum 5 years of work experience at Managerial levels are eligible for this course.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck....

Dear Aspirant,

Great details by Meghna.

Can you let me know your current educational level? What made you look for MBA course for your career? Please remember that MBA is not a compulsory degree to get a job.

If you do not belong to commerce / business field, and you are opting for MBA, then remember that you are changing your line completely where your graduation will go waste.

Just ensure if you have decided to do MBA, then to do it from Top 15 Colleges in India or abroad.

Best wishes
