Hello Maneet
A student who has completed MBA in HR and secured minimum 55% marks (for general category) or minimum 50% mark (for reserved as well as PWD i.e. persons with disability category) from a recognized university is eligible to apply for NET(National Eligibility Test) Exam. NET is conducted by UGC twice a year and the examination is conducted to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship. The eligible candidates can fill up the application form online by visiting the official website.
The syllabus as well as previous year question papers are available on the official website. There are total three papers for NET Exam and are conducted on the same day in two sessions. Paper I focuses mainly on assessment of the candidate’s research or teaching aptitude. It tests the general awareness, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, data interpretation and logical reasoning . Paper II is different for each field i.e. it depends on the subject chosen by the student and questions are based on the syllabus. Generally it covers the total syllabus for MBA course. Both the papers consist of multiple choice questions.
In order to crack the exam, you need to prepare well for all the subjects by reading study material. Solve previous question papers in given time limit to test yourself. Reading newspapers will help for general awareness questions.
All the best.
