Dear friend, many thanks for your question, here you have not mentioned your educational qualifications and what you are doing presently. In fact the physicist is like any other scientist or any other person who enjoys a normal social interaction. A physicist could be a teacher, lecturer, scientist, professor, technical person working in laboratories.

There re many places where a physicist work and perform his her duties. For example in college or university the physicist has to work as lecturer or professor. Here he has to interact with students, colleagues, seniors and clients. Being a teacher or professor he has to teach, the students ask their queries in the class and out side the class. Therefore, the physicist has strong social interaction with students. The students could be graduate, post graduate or doctoral degree. The physicist also guides the masters and doctoral degree students for their research purposes. He has to develop a strong student teacher relationship bond to understand each other. So that the student have confidence in him that he is capable enough to guide.

The routine interactions with colleagues, with seniors is also a part of job. The physicist has to discuss with colleagues in the department and out side the department for healthy scientific or personal discussions. He is also supposed to make good relations with the people of his field from other universities or institutes to carry out the academic work.

Physicists

The physicist also interacts with clients or business people on regular basis regarding purchase of instruments, articles and some chemicals. The physicist also attends or participates the international or national conferences, symposium, workshops and training programs. This the best platform for a physicist to interact with people from different corners of the world. The physicist is a scientist or a professor, he has to work on research projects, he is supposed to make collaborations with other institutions also. Therefore, this the only scientific and social platform for him to make good relations.

The regular meetings in the department and outside department is also another part of social interaction. In these meetings the views are exchanged related to personal or professional aspects. The physicist like any other human being is also a social animal. If he dont interact with other people (both from scientific and non scientific community), his personal and professional life will be imbalanced.

Therefore, physicist do interact and have normal social life like a common man.
