Hi I m sneha and im very much interrested in the field of medicine can u suggest some coyurses whic h give easy placements with about 70000/- salary per month can u suggest how to getr admissions in forensic sceience or food nutrition plzz help

Glad to hear on your interest in medicine. Yes you can pursue a variety of options in medicine career other than the MBBS. However I would like to clarify that Forensic science and food nutrition are science oriented careers and are not medicine based. But I shall still explain on how and where to study these two subjects.

1. Forensic science: You can study BSc Forensic science or a two year diploma in forensic science after 12th. However studying a BSc Forensic science and then a MSc/ PG Diploma in forensic science is the best route for students to pursue a good career in this field. Students working in this field get a high pay scale compared to many other professions in science. The minimum pay scale starts above 20,000 per month for a bachelors degree and with a masters degree and few more work experience you can expect even more high pay. In five years you can reach about 70,000 per month as your salary. If you also complete a PhD in forensic science, you can work as forensic scientist. The designations you will get for this subject are Forensic pathologists, Forensic anthropologists, Forensic psychologists, Forensic serology expert, Forensic linguistics, Forensic chemist, Toxicologist and many more. Universities offering this course in India are as below.

2. Food nutrition: You can study BSc food nutrition and work at hospitals and private food manufacturing companies. As a fresher you can earn a starting pay of 15000 per month and later you can get rise to 30000 after gaining either a masters degree and few years of work experience. If you are also a registered dietician and work at government hospitals, with a sixth pay commission you get around 25000 as your starting salary and goes up from there.

To tell you honestly, MBBS and BDS are the only professions that pay you a very high salary as you expect. The other medicine oriented professions range between 15000-25000 for a fresher. If you do a three year course like the BSc Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Micro biology, genetics, medical lab technology, botany, zoology, biology you may expect a starting pay of 12000 to 15000 per month. If you do a four year professional course like the BTech Biotechnology, BPharm, BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy then you may expect a pay of 18000 to 25000 per month. Hope this helps. Good luck.
