1M+ Test Taken
Dear Aspirant,
There are formula to score more than 90 percentile. Percentile does not mean percentage, therefore if the CAT attempt you appear is overall very tough, then the required percentile to qualify for the IIMs will be little low and vice versa.
You can definitely score 90 percentile in 1 months if you can become very studious, disciplined and have a proper and continuous guidance for you. Practice is the key to score high. Quantitative ability is highly tested in CAT exam, therefore it is also the most scoring. You should, therefore, concentrate on the quantitative aspects. Logical reasoning, verbal ability are also crucial and in CAT, you will have to pass in each section separately and it is not the overall result which matters.
There are crash courses available for CAT preparation, however, the base of all aspects on which you will be tested should be good, then only a crash course can help you.
Best wishes
Hello Smayra,
Please note competitive exams are not magical that you practice for a month and score well too. Not that its not possible. But definitely practice for such exams needs to begin atleast 6 months prior. At that time, you should have mastered the logic especially the concepts that would be needed to help you crack the exam.
Thus during the last one month, then you would not have to focus on knowing the concepts. This time must be spent solving papers. Importantly time your papers so that you solve maximum questions correctly within the given time limit.
Wish you good luck...
By good percentile, I would mean that you will have to score a minimum of 98 percentile.
You need to practice, revise and remember what you can do your best. First, attempt the questions and sections in which you are most confident in terms of knowledge. Work on your speed of answering the questions in the last month. Do not over do things that you get bogged down and your performance actually comes down. Be relaxed in the last month in terms of thinking and attitude.
See some of the mock tests available online and attempt them even if you need to pay something for that. Keep reading general knowledge books and newspapers.
In order to post replies to the question: "How to practice last 15 days for CAT Exam for good percentile?"
