Hi Sahil,

Looks like you are interested in pursuing an MBA program.

The basic eligibility for pursuing MBA is a Bachelors degree any stream with a minimum 50%.  After that you would have to appear for either or all entrance exams.

List of entrance exams and University they are applicable to

  • State level: CET ( Mostly all colleges recognised by UGC take in CET Scores)
  • All India level: CAT ( Mainly IIM'S and cream layered colleges)
  • Private colleges exams ( NMAT conducted by Narsee monjee, SAT conducted by Symbiosis, XAT conducted by Xaviers institute. Few of the Institutes also consider CAT or CET Scores
  • Some private institutes conduct their own exams and also consider CET score

After clearing the entrance exam, you would have to appear for Group discussion, followed by Personal Interview.

Please note there are classes that train you for the entrance exam as well as for group discussion and interview.

MBA can be pursued full time, i.e. a 2 years course, which includes lectures as well as internship programs followed by placements. 

MBA can be done part time or through correspondence, whereby classes are conducted in the evening, and they are for working professionals. Eligibility for correspondence MBA is a minimum of 3 years work experience.

Few specializations you could opt for includes:

  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • HR
  • Supply chain management
  • Logistics
  • IT

Dear Aspirant,

If you can clarify more on your question it would be easy to tell you. 

For MBA you need to be a Graduate of any stream with minimum 50%. You will have to then appear for entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. depending on which Institute you wish to do MBA from.

I would suggest that you should aim for doing MBA from Top 10 BSchools for a better and brighter future.

After clearing the entrance exam, you would have to appear for Group discussion, followed by Personal Interview. You an enrol yourself for coaching classed.

Major specializations available in MBA are:

  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • HR
  • International Business
  • Operations
