Hi Siddharth,
Pretty interesting question. But here I would like to ask you, why did you not pursue Dance earlier or right from a very young age.
Though there is no age for learning dance, but definitely to make a career in dancing, you needed to have begun at a very early age.
Hence here I would suggest that academically you are a good student. Though you wished to make dance as a career, you never let your percentage get affected. So I would suggest, move ahead in the field of engineering, and pursue a B.Tech degree course, whereby you get a lateral entry into the 2nd year.
But keeping dance as a career, here I would suggest that every individual should have a hobby that relaxes him after a hard day of straneious work. So for you I feel it can be dance. And as said dance is the best way to take off the exertion and stress of the body and mind alike. Also once you are certified, you can open your own dance academy whereby you could teach kids in the weekend. In this way you could be in touch with dance and also fulfil your dream of dance as a career.
Also you can see for yourself, the career span of a dancer especially when it comes to the media industry is very short-lived. We always see new artists replacing the old ones. Its a big time struggle, unless and until you have contacts in the industry.
So as a counselor, I would suggest, focus on engineering as a full-time and secured career and pursue dance as a hobby and teach it during the weekends.
Check for these certification courses:
Dear Aspirant,
Why suddenly you felt that you want to do career in dance? 80% in Engineering Diploma is a good academic record and this suggests that you have the aptitude of being an engineer.
Now that you have done your diploma in engineeering, thinking of dance as a career is late. Are you already trained in dance forms? If yes, then you have a chance to get into dance career. How do you plan to do in dancing? Is is through tv, films, theatre, etc?
If you are not trained already and you need to get yourself trained still, then I am sure how far you can reach since training in dancing now will take too much more time and then you will have to start your career.
I feel, you should continue with Engineering and complete Degree to get a job.
Best wishes
In order to post replies to the question: "i am a diploma engineer with 80 percent but actually I'm interested in dance what should i do further degree or dance & if dance then how ?"
