Importance of Communication Skills

In almost every profession one need to have good communication skills. Whether you are an artist, a doctor, an engineer or in any other field, you need to be well aware by what you say and how you say it.

Human beings are naturally social beings. We have been communicating with each other since history.   • Speak out loud in front of mirror.
  • Read newspaper daily or any magazine of your interest.
  • Invest time on more human interaction.
  • Improve your body language, see videos on YouTube.
  • Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
  • Don’t criticize or condemn another person.
  • Talk in terms of other person’s interest.
  • Make the other person feel important.
  • Show respect for other person’s opinion. Never say “you’re wrong”.
  • Give honest, sincere appreciation.
  • Have a smile on your face, do not laugh absurdly.
  • If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.
  • If you notice some mistake in other person’s work, call it into attention indirectly.
  • Choose your words wisely.
  • Use as few words as possible.
