Firstly congratulations on clearing 12th class.

Since you are interested in Journalism, please note that this is the field of Media.
So now, you need to pursue your Graduation in BMM ( Bachelors in Mass-Media).
It is a 3 years Graduate course, Few colleges conduct an entrance exam which you need to clear to seek admission int those colleges.

BMM has majorly 3 specializations:

• Advertising
• Journalism
• Public Relations

You can opt for Journalism in the 3 year.

Now please note Journalism as layman knows is all about the news reaching out to the masses. There are two ways in which news can reach people. One is the print medium which we call the newspaper and other is through broadcast media, which we call as the TV news or news on Radio

Thus Broadcast Journalism is all about reaching to the masses via virtual medium, Radio or television or any other electronic form
It can be either by being on-air or behind the scenes.

Please note that a course in Broadcast journalism is available at the masters level, as a PG Diploma program which you can pursue later or as a Diploma program after 12th. But I would recommend pursuing Graduation and knowing the media field and then opting for a PG Diploma program.

Please note, since this is a media industry, you need to maintain good relations with one and all, have a good set of contacts that can help you in future. At the same time, internship or work experience is more valuable than just running behind a degree, but degree is essential to get a beginning.
