Hey Surabhi,First of all I would like to congratulate you for your performance in your 12th class. As you said that you have many choices in front of you after your 12th and you are flexible to choose any of then I want you to ask it to yourself first as to what you want to do and where do you want to see yourself after 10 years down the line. Both the courses i.e. B.Sc Physics and B.Tech are very different that basic difference being that one is a professional course whereas the other is not. If you have more interest in being an engineer then you should do a B.Tech as getting a job after that will not be an issue and you can immediately start your job once you complete your B.Tech.
Hi Surabhi,
You have large number of choice after 12th and you can choose as per your interest. Just browse this link http://www.bestindiaeducation.com/career-courses/science-students-courses-after-12th.html where you will get different career courses after 12th.
Hi Rashmi,
First of congratulations on your percentage, you have done well.
And thank you for sharing your concern with other community members, who would be greatly benefitted from your query.
Now before you choose either of the streams you have to first see the time and return on both choices, Btech 4 years with place event opportunity, B.Sc 3 years might not be available with placement assistance.
Hence, you need to first check the time commitment and energy investment in both the courses.
Second is your end goal lecturer course required additional qualifications also such as NET exam to be cleared.
Whereas for being an engineer B.Tech might suffice.
Think clearly and then choose.
All the best.
Hi Dear,
Congratulations!
As I care for your career, I would like to tell you that 74% is pretty average score nowadays when most of the students to whom I place is having above 80% to 85% in their 10th and 12th.
So let's be very honest.
B.Sc. will lead you towards M.Sc., M.Tech and PHD and you will end up working as an Academician. You may also end up fighting for entrance examinations like CAT, XAT etc. later.
B.Tech. will take you towards job as an option as well other than all above options.
Best wishes
Himanshu Vyas
