Is AICTE affiliation required for under-graduation degree if I want to pursue masters or MBA in India..?

I am currently pursuing B.A.(Hons.) in Hotel Management form IHM Aurangabad. There is a 4 year B.A. (Hons.) degree where 4th year is internship and is affiliated through AICTE. Another is a 3 YEAR B.A. (HONS.) degree without internship & I am pursuing this one, but it is not affiliated by AICTE. I want to know can I approach for my masters or MBA in H.R. in India without my under-graduation degree being not affiliated by AICTE..?????

Interesting question.

Firstly I would like to know the reason you have opted for the 3 years non recognized course and why are you avoiding the internship program
Secondly, were you aware that for any further studies AICTE approval is required.

Coming back to your question.
But if you have read their website, their other eligibility criteria is any AICTE recognised syllabus and recognized University.

Since you are pursuing your Hotel management from a renowned Institute like "Institute of Hotel Management", which is said to be a deemed university or a well known private institute with branches all over.
And IHM, was the first to introduce Hotel management courses which were approved and were of the standard which was demanded by the hospitality industry.
Human Resource Management

Since your Institute has worldwide recognition, though considered deemed and not AICTE approved, the name of the Institute helps you to pursue a course in MBA in the future.

My only question is why are you avoiding the internship.Since the hotel management degree is more practical than being theoretical, Internship or experience does make a difference to the learning of the student. Even though you are not opting for a college approved intern program, it is advisable that during the vacation, please do get in touch with hotels nearby and join as an intern trainee.

A hands on experience adds value not only to the degree, but also during the MBA interview round, you could talk about dealing with manpower, because of your work experience, and also any work during your undergraduate or during your MBA entrance exam preparation, adds on better scores to the overall exam marks for an MBA degree.

The choice is definitely yours.
Wish you good luck..........

Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.com

You can definitely get admitted to MBA course, whether the under graduate course is AICTE recognised or not. It doesn't matter.

Hello

Thanks for writing to us at CareerGuide.com. Please be relieved, I am 100% sure, you can be admitted in further studies in both India or abroad irrelevant to your AICTE accredited course.

As you aren't on an AICTE accredited course, all I would say is to focus on your academics an earn a very good percentage or GPA in your degree. Almost all colleges and Universities in India will admit students on to a further degree, not minding whether they have been from an AICTE approved college or not, but they colleges give preference to student's undergraduate percentage. So I CAN CONFIRM that with your unapproved AICTE undergraduate degree, you are still ELIGIBLE to apply for further studies in India. Yes, going abroad with this unapproved AICTE degree is equally possible too. So focus on your academics to get at least a Merit or Distinction rather only getting a pass.

It is good to hear you are considering doing an MBA in HR after this. But i would rather recommend you to do an MBA in Hospitality management or Hotel Management course other than the conventional HR. Have you ever heard of these MBA's in round? Very few students recognise there are these Management degrees in hospitality industry and do them. But if you do such courses, you can expect managerial or supervisor positions in hotel or catering industry. It does also help in starting your own catering or hospitality business if you have like to get start with one in future. Hope this helps.

All the best.
