Chartered accountants are mainly responsible for financial health of a company. They are specialist in auditing, accounting and taxation work. CA is a stable, dynamic, challenging and financially rewarding profession. The job prospects in this profession are excellent as all the companies registered under the companies act are required to get their accounts audited only by practicing chartered accountants. As a chartered accountant oner has an option to join government organizations, public sector undertakings, banks, insurance companies, private sector jobs or setting up their independent practice. The chartered accountant has to to ensure that the financial transactions of an organization are maintained according to the law, they also keep track of cost management of the company and taking care of the tax matters. To sum up the job oppirtunities for chartered accountants exist in :-

Both Private as well as government banks
Public Sector Undertakings
Auditing firms such as KPMG, Price water house etc.
Finance , mutual fund , investment, stock broking firms such as ICICI Prudential, Birla sun Life, HDFC Standard Life, Max New York, India Bulls, Reliance etc.
