1. The tourist guides have to plan the trips. They have to do really good planning and ensure that the right research goes behind before deciding the schedule and activities for the trip. They have to do it very carefully and ensure that everything is in place. They cannot take chances at this stage and should take the decisions on the basis of information only.

2. Resource management and allocation is another important part of their job. he resources can be various materials and equipment or even human beings too. They have to coordinate with their staff members and ensure the right people are allocated to the right kind of work and therefore there should not be any problem in the whole trip. If any, they have to resolve it immediately and thereby ensuring the comfort for the clients.

3. Tourist managers or guides have to travel as well, in order to take their clients to a location. they may not travel in case of every trip but they do it quite often as it is also an important task. They have to interact with the clients on regular basis and ensure that their needs are being met in the right manner. They are also supposed to listen to their team members and help them in various tasks.

4. Tourist guides or managers have to do office work to do in their cabin. So the job is not only about traveling. They have to make sure that all the paper work is done on the right time, they do not miss any payments if any and they maintain regular contacts with their current clients as well as the prospective clients. They have to do the formalities in the various processes and get things done on time.

Therefore there are quite a number of works and responsibilities for any Tourist Guide or Manager. But the job is often fun and involves challenging roles.
